The Roccolo Del Durlo vineyard is situated on one of the best volcanic terroirs in all of Soave Classico. The main characteristics of this vineyard are its steep slopes, held together by dry-stone wall terrasses made of basalt rocks, and its old vines, many of which are over a century old. In this idyllic environment, the Garganega grape conveys a kind of special emotion which cannot be found elsewhere.

- GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
-
Situated on a very steep hill, the volcanic terroir of this single vineyard is transformed into an intense wine with a pronounced minerality.
- WINE CHARACTERISTICS:
-
Straw yellow colour, with bright golden hues; an intense aroma combines the sensation of yellow fruits with hints of citrus. Good body and delicious balance between freshness and flavour. Structured palate, persistent, floral with a brilliant mineral contrast.
- VINEYARD:
-
Volcanic soil with basaltic and tuffaceous rocks located in the single Cru vineyard “Roccolo del Durlo”, between the hamlet of Brognoligo and the edge of the Soave municipality.
- WINE MAKING PROCESS:

We make a careful selection of the most mature grapes that are picked at the end of the season. Once de-stemmed, a cold skin-contact maceration takes place for about 48 hours. Fermentation is then carried out in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature for about 25 days. The wine matures on the fine lees, with frequent batonnage for 8 months.

This wine pairs well with a wide variety of cured meats, meat dishes and mature cheeses. An excellent accompaniment, also, to the Veronese speciality bollita mista and pearà sauce.
